Mohamed Sheikh Osman Said, born in Somalia, is a distinguished legal scholar and practitioner with extensive experience in law, governance, and constitutional affairs. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Gardhawr Law Firm, where he leads with vision and expertise in legal analysis, advocacy, and institutional development.
Mohamed is pursuing a PhD in Public Law at Mogadishu University (2022–present), building on a strong academic foundation that includes a Master’s Degree in Public Law from Africa International University (2016–2018), a Bachelor’s Degree in Sharia & Law from Mogadishu University (2012–2013), and a Diploma in Law from Savana University (2017–2018). His academic achievements are complemented by an Honorary Doctorate Certificate awarded by Dellford International University in 2022.
Professionally, Mohamed has held several high-profile positions. From 2018 to 2023, he served as the Attorney General of Jubaland State of Somalia and was a Member of the Judicial Service Council of Jubaland, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening justice institutions. He also worked as a Constitutional Advisor at the House of the People (2023–2025), contributing to national legislative and constitutional processes. Earlier in his career, he was a Consultant for the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs (2013–2015), a Member of the Constitution Drafting Committee for Jubaland State (2015), and a Delegate to the Somalia Constitutional Convention (2012).
In academia, Mohamed has made significant contributions as Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Savanna University (2014–2018), Deputy Chairman of Savanna University (2016–2018), and lecturer at multiple institutions including Savanna University and Daaha University. His teaching career began in 2009, with roles at Fathu Al-Rahman School, Al-Qalam Institute of Science, and Dharkenleey Primary and Secondary School.
Mohamed has also participated in numerous professional trainings and workshops, covering areas such as legal drafting, criminal and civil proceedings, constitutional awareness, fisheries protection, office management, and judicial internships.
